Rules of the Game

YOU MUST BE 18 OR OLDER TO SIGN UP FOR THE SQUIBBY.  TheSquibby.com takes a nonrefundable Service Fee of 15% per head-to-head tournament with a prize of over $5.00. Head-to-head tournaments with prizes of $5.00 or less have a $1.00 flat rate service fee.  There is also a $3.00 monthly charge.  Your first three months are free and receive free months for referrals.  Check the prize page for details.

Setting Up Tournaments

All members will agree to participation in the Tournament. If you want to establish your own set of rules and game play settings, they must be documented in the Comments of each tournament. Any rule not stated in the comments section will be considered void and in violation of company policy. Custom rosters and custom players are not allowed unless agreed upon under the gameplay settings and Comments. For any point spread to be valid, it must be in the rules of the person giving the points.

When you play the game you must use the gamertag or persona associated with your TheSquibby.com profile. Failure to follow this rule may result in an unfavorable outcome for you should your match go to dispute.

Within 2 hours of playing the game one player needs to report back to the site. The first member reports the results of the match. The other participant needs to verify or dispute those results within 1 hour.

Should a match go unreported within 2 hours of it's completion, it will be considered null and void. It will not be added to the players' profiles and the monies will be returned to the users' accounts.

Should a reported score not be verified by all other participants within 1 hour of its posting, the score will be considered correct and the prize money will be awarded to the winner.

Absolutely No Cheating

Violating the rules that you have set with your opponent is considered cheating. This should always be reported immediately and you must provide proof of your opponent breaking the preset rules. The evidence that you provide should be video or screenshots.

Disputes

Disputes can only be initiated when reporting or verifying the results of a match. There are two types of disputes: scoring disputes and cheating disputes. All disputes will be resolved within 72 hours. All decisions rendered by the TheSquibby.com staff are binding. If you would like to have your case reconsidered you MUST provide indisputable evidence of your claim.

Scoring Disputes

This is when the outcome of the contest is in question. This type of dispute will result in an investigation. Should the score be independently verified as correct, the winner will receive the prize. The person who initiated the dispute will have a mark added to their user profile that they reported a false dispute. If a person files three false disputes they may be banned from further play. Should the investigation prove that the score was incorrect and that the player intentionally reported a false score they may be immediately banned from further play and they may forfeit all monies currently tied up in matches. If no true winner is established after a full on investigation, the match is deemed to be a "wash," and the players will get their monies refunded to them, minus the TheSquibby.com Service Fee.

Cheating Disputes

If you suspect someone of cheating, the proper action is to report the activity to TheSquibby.com through e-mail or the internal messaging system immediately. You will need to describe the suspect activity and state of the game such as score and the amount of time of game play completed when the claimed cheating occurred as well as be able to provide evidence in the form of pictures or stats forwarded from EA. If cheating is proven and the opponent was winning at the point where the cheating occurred the match will be considered a draw and all money will be returned to the participants less the TheSquibby.com fee. If the alleged cheating occurred while your opponent was losing and your claim is proved to be true, your opponent will lose the match. Once you have reported the cheating to us you may complete the game for the sole purpose of collecting video and stats through EASportsworld.com. If you report any claimed cheating only after you have completed a game you may receive an unfavorable decision because this policy was not followed. If you claim your opponent cheated without providing evidence you will lose the dispute and be fined $5. For more information on how to set up an EAsportsworld profile as well as how to save your highlights go to EASportsworld.com.

Disconnections

We know that disconnections are not uncommon during online video game play. Since the Service Fee is nonrefundable, TheSquibby.com strongly encourages gamers to finish their game, in the event of a disconnection, by starting a new game, keeping the same score and playing out the remaining time, until an absolute winner is established. If for some reason one person is unable to reconnect, because of a power failure or something outside their own control, then when reporting, disconnection should be selected instead of a winner, and monies will be refunded back to both accounts, minus the Service Fee.
